Toby is an OR due to family circumstances. He is 15 inches, turned 9 on May 13th, is now UTD, neutered and had a dental. He is a wonderful dog with great manners, is house trained and is very well trained with basic commands.
Since coming to HSS he has been fostered with 4 other shelties and fit into the pack immediately. He is a "go with the flow kind of dog" and will go or do anything that is asked of him. He is great on walks and good on car rides. He is a fairly quiet boy that only on occasion let's out a low bark or a howl.
Due to growing up on a farm he has some natural herding tendencies when it comes to small animals. It is not sure how he is around cats as he has not had any interactions with them. In regards to kids, HSS was informed he is not great with small kids that will pull and push on him.
Male or female, young or old, Toby has gotten along with all the dogs he has had an interaction with. On occasion, like a regular older brother he has barked at one of the dogs but that was just to let him know he didn't want to play any more.
Whether Toby goes to a family with other dogs or a home where he is the only dog he will be just fine. On his own he plays fetch with balls or toys. He is not on medication however we have started him on Dasuquin (joint supplement) to keep his joints oiled.
Toby will make you fall in love with him instantly so hopefully you will have as much love for him as he will for you!
