Available Shelties

Ready for Adoption! Bentley

Bentley is from a local shelter, where he had been turned in as a found stray with Reba, presumed to be his mother. He is 4 months old, fe-, and now UTD on vaccines. We were asked to take Bentley on an emergency basis, as he broke with parvo the day after he was left there. This little guy was very sick for a few days, but recovered beautifully, and is a happy, bouncy boy in foster care. We will wait a few weeks before neutering him, after which he will be available for adoption.

Reba is from a local shelter, where she had been turned in as a found stray. She is 3-4 years old, HW/fe- and now UTD. We were asked to take Reba when another rescue backed out when they found she had been exposed to parvo. She stayed in the isolation unit at our clinic until it was believed she was past the incubation period of the disease. Reba is now spayed and available for adoption.

An update from Reba's foster mom: Reba is a sweet girl who is very shy, particularly around men. She is house trained and crate trained. Although she does not play with toys or balls, she gets along well with the other resident dogs.

Please check back for further updates.

Meka, along with sister Nani, are ORs to a local shelter. Meka is 7-1/2 (DOB 8/2006), 15 inches, overweight at 40 pounds (needs to lose ~15 pounds), spayed, now UTD, HW/fecal negative. Meka will have a much needed dental on 3/17 and be available for adoption ~4/1.

Goldie is the Little Sheltie that Would - she may not be ALL Sheltie, but if she repeats "I think I am, I think I am" often enough, she WILL be! Goldie is an adorable 4 month old escapee from a local shelter - you can see in the photo how eager she was to get out! At just shy of of 10#, she likely will not get much more than 15# full grown. She is precious and kissy, playful and snuggly, a total charmer! Her little white socks are the icing on the cake. Goldie will be available after her spay in early April.

Noah 3Noah

Noah is a 5-6 year old stray from a local shelter. They contacted us to take him on an emergency basis - you can see his wounds in the early photos. Volunteers from several rescues jumped into action to take him straight to one of our vets, where they stayed late to debride what was determined to be an old wound, and then suture it closed. He will be neutered when he is healed and then available for adoption in mid-April. Noah is 17", underweight at 29#, UTD, and hw/fe-.

From his foster mom: I can't imagine a more loving, forgiving, wonderful Sheltie boy. Stoic in the face of what must have been great pain, Noah wags his tail and smiles. He wants nothing more than to be near you and get petted. So far, he is gentle and easygoing. He gets along fine with the other Shelties in the household, preferring the company of his human. He is housetrained and crate-trained.
